Hindsight

When I can no longer see

What’s in front of me,

I just look back

To see what tracks

Trail behind,

And so often I find,

Suddenly I know

Just exactly what’s going to be,

Just what lies

In front of my eyes,

Even that, which can’t yet be seen,

That which will soon have been.
